This can occur after prolonged mental stress; it is expressed as explosive anger or a total shut-down. It is very real (the Taiwanese have done some fascinating research on emotional labor and emotional exhaustion). Fatigue in all its forms must be addressed to “fight the weakening human fatigue challenge for their safety sensitive personnel”. Good information.
